On Friday the 19th October Bakwena together with its service provider, Drive Alive, successfully hosted a Road Safety Drama event in Dinokana in the North West Province. The six schools from the surrounding area that took part were Ntebogang Secondary School, Ikageleng High School, NR Mandela Commercial Secondary, Zeerust Combined, Ramatu High school and Ngotwane High School.
With the assistance of the Drive Alive team, the children from the above schools put meaningful plays together to highlight the dangers of alcohol intoxication and road usage and alcohol abuse in our daily lives. The hard work and dedication of all of the learners is truly appreciated as they rehearsed for months to ensure that their road safety plays projected a very powerful message that will be carried through to young and old alike.
All of the children as well as the schools received certificates congratulating them on their contribution to highlighting the importance of road safety within the communities. These children are ambassadors for our future and with their hard work and dedication they have helped to save lives already.
The event was attended by more than 300 people and the learners and educators pleaded with Bakwena to continue with its much needed road safety related upliftment work in the communities.
