Bakwena held its second successful charity golf day on Tuesday the 21st September 2010 whereby an amount of R106 500 was raised and distributed amongst three charity organizations, namely CANSA, Mohau House in Kilner Park and Thusanang Learning Centre in Groot Marico.
A further R12 000 was raised from the auctioning off of a framed photograph (donated by EsorFranki) of the opening ceremony of the soccer world cup which will also be distributed evenly amongst the charities.
Bakwena would like to thank all our sponsors namely GOBA, WBHO, DJJ Conradie & Partners CC, Civil Concepts, Techso, Bikers that Care, Pick ‘n Pay, Nedbank, Roadex, Pt Operational Services, Aurecon, Syntell (Mikros Traffic Monitoring), Magna FS, Jeffares & Green, Bigen Africa, FNB, BKS, Roadmac Suracing, WSP Civils, Tollink, EsorFranki, TES, TRAC, N3TC, Arcus Gibb and MC Electries. Without your generous contributions we would not be able to assist these charities.
These monies will go a long way in improving the lives of those who have cancer, are HIV positive as well as assisting the many children who come from less fortunate families.
Bakwena is committed to the upliftment of communities and charity organizations along our route through various corporate social investment projects. We believe we are making a difference.
