Our second successful Road Safety Drama Event was held on Friday the 26th October at Thatch Haven in Brits together with our service provider, Drive Alive.
Four schools from the Bapong area took part, namely Machadam Combined, Michael Modisakeng, Mogale High and St Teresa High.
These children have worked extremely hard with the Drive Alive team to put together superb plays which carry powerful messages about the dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol. Their hard work and dedication is immensely appreciated.
All of the children as well as the schools received certificates congratulating them on their contribution to highlighting the importance of road safety within the communities. These children are ambassadors for our future and with their hard work and dedication they have helped to save lives already.
The mayor welcomed more than 200 people to this event and also showed her support to the learners and Bakwena for our commitment to Road Safety Education. We were also fortunate to have Brian Kanaahe Mwebaze from the Youth for Road Safety as our guest speaker for the event.
