The Cycle for Life competition is an annual road safety competition that is targeted at grade 4 to 7 learners in 4 districts of the educational departments in Tshwane and Metsweding. The competition consists of two theory tests and then the final practical test.
363 schools took part, there were 112 learners who were chosen to participate in the finals. 5 overall winners were chosen out of the 112.
This competition teaches the learners about the importance of road safety education and equips them with the basic knowledge they need for safe cycling on roads.
Bakwena has been the main sponsor of this event for the last three years. This year we provided 112 bicycles for the 112 learners that made it to the finals.
Bakwena contributes to the safety of the road users on the N1N4 toll road and other roads in the corridor.
