The N4 Route
We have constructed a new dual carriageway on the northern side of Pretoria, between the N1 and K67 (Akasia), dramatically reducing the travel time to Rustenburg and the surrounding area.
The new highway has opened Pretoria North and reduces traveling time from the N1 to Pretoria North-West by more than 30 minutes.
The N4 is easily accessible from Johannesburg by traveling on the R511 or R512 to Hartebeespoortdam and joining the N1N4 Toll Road at Road 980 or P160-1 (Indicated on the stripmap).

General Information
In an emergency it is important to know exactly where you are located on the route.
Simply look next to the road for the route marker board. There is a small blue marker board every 200m along the route which indicates your exact location.
The marker board tells you on which section and chainage of the National route you are travelling on. As an example the blue board marker will indicate you are on the N1, at chainage 0.2km on section 22, traveling South.
The Stripmap indicates the Section and Chainage for every Interchange.
